LuAnne F. Aragon - Bio LUANNE F. ARAGON

LuAnne is from the Pueblo of Laguna who began making jewelry with her interest in beadwork as a teenager. She made beaded earrings and some hair ties and also beaded pouches for traditional use. She learned the basic processes of soldering, cutting and shaping metal into jewelry from Ray D. Garcia and also studied under Fritz Casuse at the Poeh Center in Pojoaque Pueblo in his metalsmithing class.

She makes bracelets, pendants, rings and earrings to sell in various places in New Mexico which include, Buffalo Thunder Resort and the Railyard in Santa Fe, NM as well as other places in New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma and Illinois.

Her goals include to learn more in the different areas of jewelry and metalsmithing while stretching beyond her comfort zone to include inlay and casting with metals.
